Prioritizing Well-Being at 1 Wimpole Street

As this week is Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to take a moment to recognise the importance of prioritising mental well-being. Enhancing workplace wellbeing is more important now than ever as every year 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem. The theme for this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week is movement. Physical activity releases endorphins and taking part in fun activities that we enjoy can help us get the mental health benefits of moving.

At 1 Wimpole Street we care deeply about the mental health of our guests and staff and are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all who walk through our doors. The Royal Society of Medicine has invested in training a group of staff in mental health first aid which involves listening to others and help signpost to appropriate resources. We understand that open conversations about mental health can break stigma and offer relief. Sharing and listening are powerful steps towards understanding and healing.

We appreciate that conferences and events can be stressful and overwhelming, and balancing the demands of professional life and personal care can be challenging. Close to the venue we have a public garden square perfect for a visit to lift your mood and boost creativity. 1 Wimpole Street also strives to provide a space where we can take care of our mental health while also enjoying the benefits of networking and learning.

Let’s make this Mental Health Awareness Week a time of reflection, self-care, and connection. Together, we can create a healthier and happier environment for all.
