The award-winning in-house AV team at 1 Wimpole Street have started their upgrade project for the Max Rayne Auditorium which will be completed by the end of August. This upgrade will mean we have the same high quality audio visual systems throughout our lecture theatres

Built-in Control Desk and Active Connect

One of the new features will be a technician’s control desk within the auditorium for more immediate and visible technical support. Also, our new ‘Active Connect’ system will allow both speakers and attendees to present and connect from their own devices and collaborate by sharing their own content or annotating the ongoing presentation.

Our team is growing

We are pleased to announce that we have three new members joining our AV team this summer. Duncan Greenway, Peter Bethel and Ross Ballantyne have joined us this June, making our AV team even better and stronger than ever in order to provide a better service for our clients. Our new team members increase the in-house AV Team number to seven with the promotion of Maddie Vining to the Senior Technician role.

SMARTkapp Dry-Erase Board

The AV team is introducing a SMARTkapp dry-erase board which makes presentations easier, allowing attendees to share work in real time by connecting to the board via the SMARTkapp app. For flipchart or small whiteboard users, this is a perfect replacement with very simple technology. The SMARTkapp saves the work on the board to a USB stick or a phone and also shares the content live with phones, tablets and laptops within the room or remotely.
