We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our delegates, colleagues and partners. With the UK moving into the ‘delay’ phase of their Coronavirus Action Plan, we would like to release the following statement below.

As you will be aware there was an important update from the government on Monday 16 March regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the measures that we should all be taking.  In response, the Senior Management Team of the RSM, which owns and operates 1 Wimpole Street and Chandos House, in consultation with the Trustees, has decided to take the following actions:

  • To cancel all venue and event bookings at 1 Wimpole Street from 21 March until 30 June 2020; and
  • To cancel all venue and event bookings at Chandos House with immediate effect.

This will mean the closure of 1 Wimpole Street and Chandos House to all members and visitors during this period. We will keep only an essential staffing level in 1 Wimpole Street after 5pm on Friday 20 March 2020.

We will be continuing as usual with all events booked into our diary from 1 July 2020. The team will be continually reviewing the situation, follow official appropriate guidelines from Public Health England and the NHS amongst others, and will update this website should anything further change.

In addition, we are continuing to do everything in our power to prioritise the health and safety of our guests, clients and staff.  We remain vigilant and will maintain the highest hygiene standards within the venues and will continue to ensure that is maintained at all times.

We look forward to welcoming you back at our venues for events from 1 July 2020 or as soon as the government advise that we can return to our normal business activities.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact the Venue Sales and Events Team at enquiries@1wimpolestreet.co.uk or enquiries@chandoshouse.co.uk
