Audio-Visual Summer Upgrades

The award-winning 1 Wimpole Street AV team have been busy this summer upgrading our services and facilities.

More Digital Screens

Firstly we have added to our stock of HD displays on stands. Our 2 new Samsung 55″ displays can be used in our catering areas to display presentations, videos or even social feeds to increase interaction amongst your delegates.

Stylish and Seamless Wireless Speakers

Also great to use in our catering areas, we have purchased a professional wireless speaker system. The speakers use a Bluetooth connection and so event organisers can play a playlist from their own device or use an iPad to control sound levels for wireless microphones.

As there are no unsightly cables for power or microphones, the speakers can be instantly setup and moved as required. For reception and dining events the speakers can be used for speeches and background music and can be covered and blend into the background without loss of functionality.

Live and On-Demand Streaming

Over the past year there has been an increase in the number of hybrid events staged at 1 Wimpole Street. As live and on-demand streaming becomes a core component of modern-day events, we needed a video system that goes above and beyond the norm.

Our new streaming provider is compatible on mobile devices, PC and Mac desktop, and comes with a wealth of great features including:

• Integrated Q&A, voting and social media feeds
• Registration page with automated email generation for confirmation and reminders
• URL Referral checks for security ensuring only those that have come from a specific webpage can join the webcast
• Attendance checks and quizzes (great for CPD point qualification
• Quick turnaround times for converting live webcasts to on-demand immediately after the event
• Customisable branding features on the player interface

Social Gamification With Lumi Catch

Lumi Catch is a fantastic online platform and app that allows event organisers to capture, analyze and categorize live information shared on Twitter.

Catch displays key information about your event community to help gamify social media activity and encourage your delegates to interact more with each as well as your event’s hashtag.

The platform can also be customised with your own colours and logo, and displays key information such as most active users and most popular tweets, in a user friendly interface.
