1 Wimpole Street has recently undertaken and successfully gained the Compliant Venues accreditation, demonstrating the venue’s ability to work competently with healthcare clients. The venue was awarded the green accreditation status, indicating their full compliance with the Compliant Venues solution.
Compliant Venues, an independent agency formed in response to an increasing need for healthcare meeting organisers to ensure their events meet internal and industry codes of practice and are carried out in appropriate environments, awarded the accreditation to One Wimpole Street, Home to the Royal Society of Medicine, in recognition of their support of the delivery of high quality medical education, to over 23,000 Healthcare professionals.
Mark Handforth of Compliant Venues who worked with the venue through the accreditation process said: “Healthcare event organisers are being tasked with reducing their compliance risk and enhancing their approval process by using a clear and recognised metric to support their choice of venues for meeting activities. It is clear that a venue like One Wimpole Street is uniquely aligned to the sectors meetings and event’s needs due to its focus on medicine. What many do not realise is the quality of the venue which offers 15 different event spaces, including two lecture theatres, and the incorporation of high end technology to support organisers in delivering immediate audience responses and hosting web meetings for remote audiences.”
Craig Wallace, conference and events manager at 1 Wimpole Street adds: “Any solution that focuses on a sector which is a core competency for us is of real importance and something we continually look at investing in. We look forward to leveraging the agency partnerships which we have already seen develop with the solution and are very pleased to have secured the Compliant Venues accreditation. “
